Program D Pro: Program Management for Development Professionals

When managing programs or large projects with multiple components, there is more than one “right” tool that will solve every problem. This F2F course is designed to help program managers be more effective in their roles by exploring common challenges program managers face, identifying tools and processes that successful program managers implement throughout the lifecycle of a program, and guiding program managers in the creation of an action plan to implement lessons learned into their day to day jobs.

Note: Program D Pro is a program management certification for practitioners working in the development sector. This course uses the Program D Pro Guide as the basis of the course curriculum and will provide resources to help you take the exam on the final day of the course. The course fee includes the Program D Pro exam certification fee and the exam will be administered at the end of the course by IME and Humentum.


While PMD Pro certification is not a pre-requisite of this course it is highly recommended, as knowledge of the contents, the PMD Pro Guide will be assumed.

FMD Pro1- Financial Management for development Professionals

All NGO staff have an important role to play in ensuring effective and proper use of financial resources during program implementation.  

During this course, you will learn the key principles of good financial management and how to apply them in your workplace.

Designed in a highly participatory style, this course will build your skills and confidence in how to:

  •   Integrate good financial management systems into operations management
  •  Manage and control financial resources more efficiently and effectively

During the course participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed for the FMD Pro 1 certification examination.


This course is primarily aimed at staff in small to medium-sized NGOs who are involved in program implementation and/or the management and control of financial resources.

Fighting fraud in NGOs is the only course that gives you a holistic set of tools and tactics to or combat fraud in the NGO sector.
